Frequent Asked Questions
Got a question? Check out our Frequently Asked Questions and if you can’t find what you’re looking for, chat with us.
I’ve never used a Reformer before. How do I get started?
Contact us and share your full name, email, mobile, date of birth and suburb, and what Monday date you’d like to be booked. We will then reach back to confirm details and dates.
I have an ongoing injury I’m rehabbing or I’m coming back to exercise after time off with an injury.
If you’re working with our physios, they might recommend a 1:1 session with our team or starting from an Introduction class before moving to Form classes where our instructors are trained to modify around your injuries. We always offer options within the movements, making sure everyone is always moving within their range, while giving you the chance to challenge your body.
I am pregnant, can I still attend classes?
We welcome pregnancy at all stages. We like to encourage and support women to stay active throughout their pregnancy journey, so we work with you to modify exercises where necessary, use props to set you up comfortably, and keep you moving until you’re ready to stop.
We also encourage 1:1 sessions if you want to dive deeper into why we set up you up with certain exercises, walk you through the modifications and help you feel comfortable. If you want to come to Power classes 1:1 sessions are a requirement for this class style attendance.
New to or want to start Mat Pilates?
Join us whenever - no introduction class required. Just bring a mat/ something soft to lie/kneel on, a water bottle and cash or a card to pay for the session. We will then set you up in the Mindbody booking system.
I’m on holiday / only here for a quick visit
We have single class options, 3 Class packs (2 week expiry) and the 5 and 10 Class packs have 1 year expiry. Check out our pricing for more info.
Form doesn’t feel challenging anymore
Please let us know if you feel this way. We always have options to modify/advance the exercise or correct your movement/form so that it feels more challenging. We want to support you and help you grow from strength to strength and we won’t know unless you tell us.
When should I challenge myself and try a Power class?
Do you have good mindbody awareness? When the teacher says an exercise name do you know what they’re talking about? Can you set yourself up independent of the teachers instructions for movement you know well?
If so, join us in our Power classes. We offer less modifications in Power classes as we tailor to intermediate/advanced clients and we highly recommend coming without injuries so you can move without concern.
You won’t be able to book without being granted access, so please chat with your teacher in the next class.
Pricing options?
Check out the Pricing page for our Class packs or Memberships.
How can I book classes?
Our booking system Mindbody, is a third-party app where you’ll be able to book and cancel classes as well as purchase/sign up for Class packs or Memberships.
If you’re signing up for a Beginners Offer, an email will land in your inbox to finish setting up your account.

1:1 options
If you’re new to reformer and not sure if group fitness is for you or if you’re nursing an injury but want to start exercising, our 1:1 sessions will suit you.
In our 45 or 60 minute sessions, we’ll work through foundational movements on the machine, building your confidence and strength and working specifically to modify what’s necessary within the session.
This will give you a better understanding of what you can change out in group classes, or stay and rehabilitate 1:1 for as long as you feel comfortable
How does Pilates work with my current exercise program?
The perfect complimentary exercise, Pilates will give you a stronger mind-body connection so you’re more aware of your body as you move through your usual workout routine. Pilates works to build your core, increase your flexibility and support your body with the springs and pulleys on the machine, so if you’re running, swimming or lifting weights, you’ll be able to see how Pilates supports those movements.
I own a business and want to send my team members for a group event
We love teaching teams especially when we can target exercises to their work environment. Sit at a desk all day? We'll work on your posture muscles to pull your shoulders back. Work in hospitality on your feet all day? This is an exercise program where you can basically lie down the entire hour and still get a workout in (while we strengthen your core to help with balancing those plates, create more muscle in the legs to build standing endurance).
Mindbody won’t let me book classes
Having glitches? Have a payment option but still not able to book?
Email rehab@cassowarycoast.physio or call (07) 4068 2074 and we’ll get you sorted. Send through screenshots in the email so we can send them onto the app to get sorted.
What to bring to a mat class
We do require you to bring your own mat/surface to stand and lie down on. Socks are not a requirement unless you feel more comfortable in them, and wear workout gear you feel most comfortable moving in. A water bottle is encouraged especially in the warmer months.
What to bring to a reformer class
Socks are a must! For hygiene purposes, we cannot allow you on the machine without socks (grip socks or normal socks are fine). A towel is strongly encouraged as is a water bottle. Wear any clothes you feel most comfortable and free to move in.
I'm a beginner. What classes suit me?
Any of our Form classes are tailored from beginner to advanced clients. Being a boutique studio, we know who is new to Pilates, and who is working with injuries so we can focus on you after everyone is moving so you’ll never be left behind or wondering what foot goes where.
I need to cancel my class. What is the policy?
Our cancellation policy is 6 hours prior to class start time. If you Late cancel (within the 6 hour window) you will either forfeit a pass (Class packs) or pay a $5 fee (Membership client).
If you simply do not show to a class, Class pack client will forfeit a pass, but Membership clients will be charged $10. This is because we have waitlists and a lock out window of 25 minutes so please cancel as early as possible (cancelling after the lock out window means those on the waitlist won’t be notified, so please do it as early as possible).
Waitlists
Join the waitlist! It is highly recommended to jump on any waitlist for the class that you want to join. If someone cancels their place in class before the 6 hour cancellation window, the first on the waitlist will be moved into the class with a text and/or email to confirm this.
If someone cancels class within the 6 hour window, everyone on the waitlist gets a text and its First to Claim. If no one claims that spot, anyone looking to join will be able to jump in.
If you are placed in the class but miss the notification and can no longer make it, please cancel as soon as you can, and send us an email so we can rectify any cancellation issues/fees.
I have a Membership but I'm headed off on holiday
Do you have a spare ticket for me? While you enjoy your holiday you won’t have to worry about payments coming out for your Membership.
Email us 14 days (minimum) before your leave date & prior to your payment cycle and let us know the dates you’ll be away. We'll let you know when payments are set to resume, and you can jump back into classes upon your return.
If you are pausing for longer than 3 weeks, please note that you won’t be able to book until that first payment goes through. Any pauses less than 3 weeks still allows you to book prior to your return.
I can’t remember my Membership terms and conditions
